well I have to say I have been dooing better than most but could be doing better.

I have caught my third master angler award for the state of michigan for 2004 and I am looking for master angler fish number "4" I am seeking a total of 5 for the year of 2004 as a personal goal. I have come pretty close a couple times. I will just have to get out on the water more...

Salmon season it comming up fast, there is still some stergeon season left not to mention cat fishing. and there are some pretty big pike in the area..

we get the white bass up here but not the striped bass hence no Hybreds "wipers or stripers" as they are called. so we dont get the real big one... I caught one white bass that went 17 inches maybe 3 or 4 pounds...

I have been in the area and witnessed other master angler fish beeing caught.

we are just about to come up on the best time to be fishing here in michigan as well, kids will be back in school and I will have the lakes all to my self once again... Not that I am being greedy, I do like peace and quiet on the water. dont get me wrong, I love to see the kids on the water having a good time.. I couldnt think of a better place for them to be...

I guess I should quit rambling, how the fishing out your way? you been getting any of them big wipers of cats that Gerogia is famous for?

Not lately, still on the "striper learning curve" haha. Wish I could hit em' like the guides here say they're doing. Love catfishing too, but best place was Lake Marion in S. Carolina 5 hrs away. When my friend Joe landed a 38lb bluecat 2 winters ago we went crazy, only cause we've seen too many zero fish days here.

I would love to go for those salmon, even my wife wants to try! A friend from work here in GA goes every year, might hook up next season since it's a family thing.

And yes, I look for days of quiet on the lake soon, too. I love to see kids fish, but the summer's been bad with all the jet skis, etc., on Lake Lanier. Tomorrow I should be on the lake to try for stripers again, week days off are the best during summer.

best to ya!
Glenn
