fish in the lights
#1
You know, it just blows me away to watch those big fish swim around near those underwater lights that are placed in those canals. and just about impossible to catch. A couple of weeks ago, I spent a week down at Sea Isle (Galveston) and spent a number of late nights just watching those lights and what swam in them. Small bait fish swimming in a circle, and slightly larger fish playing dead floating in the circle and then snapping when they get close enough.... And then the light is suddenly blotted out as a very large shape of a fish, or two swim pass....Ahhhh, the stuff dreams are made of.... It's nice to know that there is still is some big ol Sals out there. Maybe next time...

scoobie2,
I used to get upset too about the fish in the lights. I found somthing that worked for me and you might want to give it a try. Take your weight off. install a single hook and use a lime green plastic worm for bait.
Just drop it down just above the light and jiggle it a little. Stay ready for the setting of the hook and you might just get a pleasent suprize. I have gotten many of nice keepers that way. If it works for you too, come back to the boards and let us know. I have used this method for over 10 years now and never have I been disapointed.[Smile]

Texas Gulf Coast Fisher <*(())))))))))>{
http://www.studentpcsonline.com
