Whats your favorite Blue Fish Plug?
#1
Tried a green and a blue and white plugs yesterday. Didn't seem to matter on the color. Has any one tried a jointed plug and if so did they work better and where do you get them?

Hey there gdn443,

Seems like I read somewhere that cedar plugs originated on the east coast for stripers and blues.

They are very popular here with the southern California albacore and tuna anglers. The clear, unpainted plugs seem to work just as well as the painted ones according to some of the regulars.

Needlefish plugs seem to be the preferred lure for most of the plug fishermen in Jersey I haven't tried plugging yet ( these lures are EXPEN$IVE) my favorite lure in the surf is a Bomber A-salt in the schoolbus yellow for daytime and Black or blue for night time my other favorite lure is a AVA diamond jig ripped through the water fast for Blues and jigged off the bottom for Weakfish I prefer the green surgitube tail but thats just my preference I did buy some top dogs and shedog plugs recently and I will be trying these out but I got the bone color they are much less $$$ then the needlefish and cedar plugs and are supposed to be great topwater plugs
