Breakin' in the new camera .
#1
Went and tried Utah lake this morning , but the wind made it too choppy and muddy , so fished the Provo river close by but only hooked some carp . Wanting to try out my new camera , so I decide to go up Diamond Fork for some trout . Forgot it was still huntin' season so I tried to stay in areas with out much cover without orange on . Nailed about 12 browns and miss a bunch more on jigs and spinners . Had one bleeder so it was cooked up tonight . Browns are spawning now up there . Pics were taken by myself . One is a pic of the sand stone in the area , and the others are browns on a timer/tripod setup . Sure glad to see it is open now . Sure wish they never paved it , but it is much nicer trip up there . Wish I would of brought my fly rod , but was hoping for walleye when I left from home . Fun little stream .

Nice fish, it looks like you've got the hang of the picture taking and posting already. How many pixels does the camera have?

Sunday i used mepps aliga spinners #2 , and panther martins .Cast and let it swing down to the fish . I always had good luck on black maraboo jigs , but didn't find any with my stuff sunday . I like to fish up by Threeforks which is about 8 miles up the canyon , but there is fish all over . Look for slower water , pocket water , behind or in front of rocks , the edges , eddies , deeper pools , and foam ( my favorite ) and you should find some fish . Spawners will hit it just to get it off the redds (spawning beds) . Most of the water is fast . Lots of snags too . I think I lost 3 spinners to the snag gods . I also was using some 3" curly tail jigs in chartreuse but most of the time they would grab the tail and pull it off . I think smaller jig would do better . Lots of stoneflies in this stream . If you find a place where the water is fast reach out and grab a rock and see what is attached to it . I was going to take a pic of some stoneflies but forgot to . Try not to let them see you . There are some bigger fish in there , but lots of small ones .
It is about 8 miles up Spanish Fork canyon and it is on the left . Right before the Thistle slide area , or the turn off to Fairview.

Artifical only above Springville Crossing . Release all cutts and suckers . I think it is still dirt road up there so if you are on the pavement you will be fine . I would recommend 4X4 for the dirt roads anyway . Sixth Water is the creek with the most flow .
