Might want to try the Soldier Creek Dam road. Only maybe 3/4 of a mile from the highway theres an old dirty road that some of us use. Theres an old boat dock laying on the dirt road. The road isnt steep so if the snow's not to bad that would be my choice. Good luck

There is always the boat ramps at Strawberry Marina and Renegade. Both fish well for me.

[cool]I'd agree with these others, CBR. All four of these places are a good place to launch, although, I don't know if the road past the main Strawberry Marina is closed yet due to winter, which might prevent you from getting to Renegade. Depends on how much snow is up there right now. I know that during ice fishing season there is a huge snow pile right in the middle of the road forcing you to turn into the marina or turn around. Those other 3 places are excellent places to launch a floater.
The other chicken creek place Hustler898 was referring to is Chicken Creek East (also called Jakes Bay). Excellent place to launch as long as the dirt road that veers off to the left is still plowed past the outhouse. If it's not plowed past the outhouse (like during icefishing season) then you'd have to carry your pontoon for a long ways to reach the lake (like 500 yards). If the road is passable beyond the tan outhouse, then you can pull your car really close to the shore to launch, and the fishing is great in that area. Probably my favorite place to ice fish (hope nobody else is reading this...[pirate])
Good luck. Look forward to yall's report!
