Hook Gap ?

I have read and re-read the proc. over and over and cannot find anything on size limits for hook gap. I run pretty large jigs in my tubes at Bear lake and want to be sure I am following the rules.

I always hear about a 9/16" or 5/8" but what is the rule and for what bodies of water and where is this written?

In some prior years there was a hook gap size limit in the fishing proclamation, but it is no longer there.

The hook gap limit they used to have on Bear Lake was for during the cisco run only. Any other time I think any hook gap was legal.
