I am posting this for a friend. He is wanting to hit starvation for some walleyes. Where is the best places to fish for them and at what times of the year. How is it when there is ice? He also wanted to know if there are any maps to download that show the under water structure. Any help on what lures, baits, methods would be great. Thanks.

I usually hit the rabit gulch area in the early fall. I did not make it out this year. slow trolling a worm harness or throwing small jigs tipped with a worm seems to work. send a PM to curtisfish he is from out that way.

Fall at Starvation is the best time of all seasons. Big walleyes can be caught trolling at paint-drying speed using bottom bouncers with crawler harnesses, and minnow type crankbaits. You can do well jigging. It doesn't ice up til about december traditionally, but I know there's no ice right now. I would go asap. I've heard it is good most places on starvation. Let us know how you did.
