Hi there TubeDude,
Found a starter U-boat type 'tube' for some of our aspiring younger float tubers. Those 2 to 4 year olds ought to flock to this baby. I think we ought to give it a serious try-out before we let the little tykes venture out on it though!

[cool][#0000ff]Lookin' good! I wanna build a biggun for myself. Bring on the styrofoam and the PVC. Ya know I gotta have rod racks. Also need to hook up the sonar, stereo and BBQ on the top deck.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Let's see now, if I build up a larger transom, I should be able to mount my 250 outboard. Gotta work some on the downriggers. Oh heck, I'll just add on an outrigger for the downriggers.[/#0000ff]

[cool][#0000ff]Don, my friend, I think you stayed out in the cold too long, without a hat. Your thinker got frostbit. Some interesting concepts though.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]While you are in such a creative mode, how about coming up with some refinements for the Coldfooter Hilton. How about a jet engine for drillin' holes with the back blast? No need for one of those wimpy heaters either. Maybe a new lazer drill...drill the hole and cook the fish in one shot?[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]By the way, how is your new plasma TV working out in the Hilton? I suppose you need to fold up that big dish antenna when the wind comes up.[/#0000ff]

Hey there TubeDude,
Seriously.....
I saw a History Channel special where these guys were getting these WWII planes from about 150 feet out of a glacier in greenland. They used this electric heater/borer that was about 15 feet in diameter. As the ice melted, a pump drew the water out of the hole. It was faster than the mechanical drill they were using.
Not so far fetched idea.

That sounds like the perfect solution to the "Float tubing on the iced over lake" dilema. I could just picture mounting one of those to the bow of my FC4 and trudging across a frozen lake with no problem.[cool]
