2005 FLW Walleye Tour registration begins Jan. 26 Online registration for FLW Walleye Tour available at FLWOutdoors.com

FLW Outdoors has announced that [url "https://www.flwoutdoors.com/authenticate.cfm"]registration[/url] for the upcoming 2005 Wal-Mart FLW Walleye Tour season will open to the general public beginning Jan. 28, 2005. In addition, Ranger boat owners can begin registering as early as Jan. 26 while Champion, Stratos and Skeeter owners can begin registering Jan. 27.
Nontransferable, nonrefundable deposits will be accepted beginning 8 a.m. Central time on each of the January registration dates. Anglers entering with a counterpart (pro with a co-angler, or co-angler with a pro) by Feb. 11 will be given priority; anglers entering all four events with a counterpart by Feb. 11 will be given top priority. All others will be confirmed in order of entry.
The total tournament purse for the 2005 FLW Walleye Tour season is $2.6 million. Nearly $70,000 was added to the purse for each of the first three qualifiers, boosting the potential payout in each event to $471,000 compared to $401,750 in 2004. The fourth and final qualifier of the 2005 season features a $140,250 increase in purse size compared to 2004, as anglers will compete for a share of $542,000 in the new FLW Walleye Tour Open.
The top 50 pros and top 50 co-angler based on point standings in the FLW Walleye Tour will advance to the new, $650,000 FLW Walleye Tour Championship on the Mississippi River in Moline, Ill., Sept. 28-Oct. 1.
Rules, participating requirements and additional registration information
Specific registration rules regarding the 2005 Walleye Tour are as follows (see links below for complete official rules):
• Participation is open only to tournament members of FLW Outdoors who are 16 years of age or older. Any person entering a tournament under the age of majority must also have the signature of their parent or legal guardian in the provided space on the entry form. In addition, all contestants must have in their possession a valid fishing license.
• For anglers that are Ranger owners, nontransferable, nonrefundable deposits will be accepted to hold spots for tournaments beginning 8 a.m. Central time, Jan. 26, 2005.
• For Champion, Stratos and Skeeter owners, entries will be accepted beginning 8 a.m. Central time, Jan. 27, 2005.
• All other entries will be accepted to hold spots for tournaments beginning 8 a.m. Central time, Jan. 28, 2005. Anglers entering with a counterpart (pro with a co-angler, or co-angler with a pro) by Feb. 11, 2005, will be given priority; anglers entering all four events with a counterpart by Feb. 11, 2005, will be given top priority. All others will be confirmed in order of entry.
• Entries may be made either by mail, phone, fax, or on the Internet at FLWOutdoors.com (walk-in entries will not be accepted); do not make entry by more than one method.
• Each qualifying tournament will be limited to 300 contestants (150 boats). Entries received after a tournament has filled will be placed on a waiting list. Those placed on the waiting list and not accepted into the tournament will receive a full refund after the tournament. A completed entry form and the complete entry fee must be received no later than the published entry/balance deadline for each tournament. Confirmed entries are contingent upon balance being paid by the balance deadline date.

Entry fees
Tournament fees for the upcoming 2005 season will vary by tournament. For the three $471,000 total-purse qualifying events, entry fees for the Pro Division will be $1,260 and $360 for the Co-angler Division.
For the $542,000 FLW Walleye Tour Open, pro entry fees will be $1,510 while co-angler entry fees will be $510. Entry fees for all four qualifying events include a $10 conservation fee.
Tournament deposits for each of the four regular-season events are $500 for pros and $200 for co-anglers.
