Canyon Lake: Water stained upper-clear in main lake; 51 degrees; 910':

Largemouth have been fair to good over brushpiles 10'-20' in feeder creeks using Camo/green flake Bungee worms, black/blue Snap Back creature baits and watermelon-red Craw Tubes (www.cremelure.com). During colder weather on cold
fronts expect bass to pull out to substantially deeper water to suspend along the thermocline until after the passage of the front. During these relatively stable
periods both largemouth and smallmouth become active and begin foraging along submerged points and ledges. Upriver, pitching 3/16-1/4 oz. blk/blue Terminator
Finesse Jigs (www.terminatorlures.com) dressed w/Uncle Josh pork trailers (www.unclejosh.com), wacky rigged stickbaits like black/blue flake Wacky Sticks rigged on a "K" Wacky Hook (www.falconlures.com) or Texas rigged 6" black/blue
Power Worms (www.berkley.com) fished tight to brush and trees along channel breaklines.

Smallmouth are very good to 3 lbs in 8'-20' on 3" smoke curl tail grubs, white weightless Whacky Sticks, brown 1/8 oz. Curb's hair jigs, smoke/red flake Snap Back tubes.

Stripers good during the afternoon in larger creeks and bays on white streamer flys & fly fishing tackle, Hyper Striper jigs and trailers (www.kgenterprise.com) and
Pirk Minnows.

White Bass slow to fair in 40' along mainlake points jigging 1/4 oz. silver Pirk Minnows and 2" Gulp Minnow Grubs.

Lake Buchanan: Water clear; 48 degrees; 1019.50':

Largemouth are fair along main and secondary creek ledges in 10'-20' using 1/8 oz. brown hair jigs dressed w/ pork trailers, Texas rigged 6" Fire and Ice worms and Smokin' Green Devil's Tongues (www.cremelure.com) on drop shot rigs. between cold fronts, look for bass to begin actively feeding along ledges of creek flats where a white/chart. 7/16 oz. Terminator tungsten spinnerbait (www.terminatorlures.com), white Photon www.photonlures.com)
crankbaits and wacky rigged 5" pumpkin Whacky Sticks rigged on a 3/0 "K" Wacky Hook (www.falconlures.com) produce after midmorning when the water has had time to warm a degree or two.

Striped Bass are fair to good in 25'-32' from The Willows to Flag Island bottom trolling 1/2 oz. white/gray Hyper Striper jigs (www.kgenterprise.com), vertically jigging 1/2 oz. Pirk Minnows and tight-lining live bait.

White Bass fair on main creek points in 20' using 1/8 oz. chrome/blue Spin Traps, Pirk Minnows and 2" Gulp Minnow Grubs on jigheads.

Crappie are good to 12" under the heated crappie dock at Hi-Line Resort using white Curb's crappie jigs, Tube Jigs (www.cremelure.com) and live minnows.
