Got to Lost Creek about noon. Went down about 30 yds off the damn. Five of us fished for about 1 hour with a few bites before we finally got the first fish. Only got 1 more in the next hour. I moved towards the cliffs on the west side and nailed 3 in the next ten minutes and then that was it. Fished til 4 pm and then said bag it. Talked to a few guys that said it was pretty hot in the morning but slowed down terribly after about 10:30. Guess I just got to get my butt out of bed a little earlier.

I fished Lost Creek on the 3rd. I was fishing by the cliffs near the dam. I caught 15 in a couple of hours in the morning, all cutts. The fishfinder in invaluable as the fish were at various depths. I caught fish up to 11:30 then it went dead. All were caught on white boogers tipped with a wax worm or nightcrawler.

Sound like a tough day on the pond. Hopefully your trip was an isolated incident, and your next trip out will be much better.

You are right about getting up there early. The fishing shuts off by 11:00am or so almost every day. The early worm gets the fish! DKS.

My brother-in-law, son and friend of mine went up the same day you did. We started about 7:30 am and stopped about 3:00pm. Between the four of us we iced between 100 to 150 fish, all small rainbows, a couple were about 16 to 18 inches though. I have never caught so many fish in my life in one sitting. It seemed like anything we dropped the fish would hit. Best place is over to the north by the cliffs east of the dam. My buddy, who just went to Iraq caught about 50 bows.
