willow pond is hot
#1
First of all thanks for the welcomes. I went to willow today for about 1hr and the fishing was hot. Hooked 7 all (browns) only took home 2 but all over 11inchs. I was using a jake spinner gold one. They seemed to like the jake. I usually do good with the jake over there. I like to give a shout to the westvalley angerlers. Wus up BIG HOOKA.They call me BIG-EZ cause the fish I catch are big and I bring them in E-Z. Thanks again for the welcomes BIG-EZ out.

I hit it for a little over an hour and we picked up 3 lake trout. Are you sure the ones you caught were browns? Spoke to some locals and they said they haven't caught any browns there yet. Just pup lake trout, cutts, etc.

Biggest pup caught was 3 pounds. Not too shabby. There are bigger ones in there, saw some surface that had to be pushing 8 pounds.

Oh. They put a heck of a fight up. When I reeled the bigger one in it had all its fins clipped, I can only imagine how much more of a fight it would have been with the tail fin still intact.

Keep fishin' that Roadrunner CBR? I only picked up one small bow and a few bluegills, but I was fishin' dry flies on the fly rod. There were quite a bit of brood bows cruisin' 'bout, but couldn't hook into 'em.

Flipped the roadrunner for a bit with no hits, then the second I put on a superduper I hooked up with a fatty. Smile
