Aquilla guide report
#1
What a day. Only fished from 7am till 11am and boated over a dozen fish. Nothing big, but all good solid 2 and 3lb’ers. I did talk to some that boated bigger but not as many. The fish I found were out in front of the pockets and coves on the north west side of both arms. I was using a RattleTrap (white craw) and a spinnerbait (char/white) and covering water. I did not slow down and work the areas with other baits as I was looking for numbers of fish, rather than size. Water is a little over full pool and running in the 59 to 61 range. The backs of the creeks are a little cooler. The bigger fish should begin to move very soon and will be up shallow with in the next 4 to 5 weeks. The front and rain that is due in tonight will have an adverse affect on them but they know what time of year it is getting to be. I will be guiding on this lake as well as Ray Roberts this year, so if you need help, or a trip, send me an e-mail or call.

Till next time,

Good Fishing and

GOD BLESS
