Leeches?

Planning a fishin trip & my dad wants to use live leaches. Does anyone know where I can get some locally (between sandy & 0gden) ?

I don't think you can find them in the local area. I know Walleyebob orders them from Michigan or Minnesota but you could get more info from him. The last I talked to him he was buying them 100 at a time and storing them in his fridge. I know one of the local bait dealers, if you want, I can call him and find out how quick he could get some? WH2

I used to catch them in a small irigation canal in Sandy with some lunchmeat tied to some string (pastrami always worked best). After about a half hour I'd have about a dozen leeches near it. That canal is now covered but I imagine if you could find one near you you might give that a try. Caught my largest catfish ever on one of those leeches.

You should try the power bait leeches - I have caught plenty of fish with them on a worm harness.

Leeches are difficult to keep in a store. They require changing the water every day.
You could take a screen to any river and collect them rather easy.
