Port Aransas Weekly Pic's!!!! and fishing Report.10/24

What A Week!

Fishing and catching in Port Aransas have remained just about like last week’s.
The descriptions of fishing ranged from "good" to "super" to "great."
One happy angler at Dolphin Dock Inc. came back with a hammerhead shark that weighed 187 pounds. Other anglers are still catching lots of red snapper, including some really good-sized sows.
"We’re starting to see yellowfin tuna as well as blackfin tuna on the day trips".
They’re catching a variety of everything else such as dorado, barracuda and amberjack.
The safari trips, the longer ones, are bringing in lots of tuna.
"There’s fish around, all you have to do is take time off to go catch them".
They’re catching redfish and trout as well as mangrove snapper off the north jetty. The mangrove snapper also are biting off of Roberts Point Park between the jetty and the pier.

Fisherman’s Wharf reports this week’s report is just a ditto of last week.
Charter boats are coming back with red snapper, amberjack and shark as well as a few blackfin tuna. The bay guides are doing nicely with catches of redfish and black drum.
Anglers out of Deep Sea Headquarters have found that fishing was "super" all last week.
They caught some yellowfin tuna, the largest of which weighed in at 186 pounds.
They are catching limits of nice red snapper, blackfin tuna and wahoo that weighed up to 60 or 70 pounds.
One angler bought in a mako shark that weighed about 90 pounds.
Anglers going out of Offshore Adventures are still getting plenty red snapper. The tuna have started showing up, too.
One private charter came back with five big yellowfin tuna, one that weighed 116 and another that weighed 73 pounds as well as 23 blackfin tuna.
They’re also still catching kingfish, dorado and Atlantic sharpnose shark.


A Day At The Office!

Dr. Paul Kennedy, with the dorado, and David Bell, holding the red snapper, spent ' just another day at their offshore office' and came back with a great catch. They caught 150 pounds of red snapper, dorado, amberjack and one large kingfish.[Smile]
