Porcupine
#1
Went on a sight seeing tour yesterday up to Porcupine, Danzilla and I wanted to ice fish it, but didnt bring a big enough plank. The edges are open water a good 5-8 feet, the ice out from that seems very healthy and solid. Went up to the inlet and the last 100 yards or so is open water. I wish i would have brought my spinning gear and threw some spinners on the ice and pulled it off into the water, it looked really good. The road to porcupine is clear and dry all the way to the dam, ran into on patch of snow in the road that would probably require 4X4 but shouldnt be a problem.

Thanks for the update Rob, too bad you and Dan did not bring any other gear for the open water. I know a lot of lakes are great fishing this time of the year when the ice is pulling away from the shore, oh well there is always next time.
