Bear Lake fishing contacts

I'm a new member - just trying to figure out how to talk with you guys. I am building a home at Bear Lake and am interested in hooking up with other fishermen that know the lake, so I can get into some hot fishing this summer. Any ideas where to start?

First off WELCOME. I suggest posting questions right here on the boards first. I also would recomend visiting Pugstones in Garden city and talking to them. They know the blue very well and can offer many tips. They also run a guide service at a reasonable price for what you learn. I fish Bear Lake year round and have alot to learn myself but with time and talents fine tuned I hope to become a better fisherman on the blue as well.

I had the fortune of getting a jump start on how to jig for macks at Bear Lake by first exchanging many emails, and then by personally fishing with BearLakeMack, and as a result I have had some great trips up there, and of course some other trips that were very humbling. Bear Lake can be quite intimidating without getting some tips from others who have had success fishing it. I'm more than willing to help where I can.

[] I have fished the bear for many years also and have had more days of fishing than catching. I know that this year I plan on making a trip or two out with Jim Stone to help make the best of the time that I have to fish. We all want more time on the water and the money that I would spend going out with them to me would be well spent I think.

It sounds like you will be spending alot of time up there. Its up to you but I think the above posts have pretty much summed it all up. I would also like to hook up with some of the guys when they go up. I will also post when I plan on going up so maybe we can all hook up! Good luck and welcome abord!
