Nice weather, easy to launch, but fishing was slow. There were a few boats out Saturday. I did not see a sole on the pile, must be trolling the East shore. Guess I should have launched over there instead. My little boat will not travel across easily. Still a great day on the blue with my son.

[black]Pretty cool all the things you have done to make that boat float. Looks pretty tricked out. I say keep it and sell the Bayliner.[/black]

Nice report/pictures fish1on. Has anyone else got some recent pictures of Garden City, etc. I'd like to know how much snow is still there before I try to get to my place.

Thanks for the report Pat, we were planning on going up Saturday but changed our minds at the last moment. That boat looks just like one I had some years ago, is it a 14ft Sears?

14 foot something or other??? not sure no labels for manufacturer. I tricked her out to not leak, rod storage, rod holders, downrigger, fish finder, swivel seats, yada yada!
As for the bayliner.... well that belongs to my wife and kid so I cannot do anything with that one! LOL It may get a ski tower this summer and that is about it. I realy could do some mods to it to make it fishing worthy but that plan was shot down.
Bear lake is a wonderful place to enjoy. Fishing here is something that I am still learning but it is half the fun! I would be more than happy to share the little bit that I know but that is limited. I have learned from some great fishing folks that the best bet is to do your time with the basic knowledge that can be provided. With this you must develop your own stategies and techniques. I have the basic part down and now need to fine tune my technique and get the right gear! I fish this pond year round and it is about the only place I get to fish. One day I too will be able to share productive and useful info. Say 20 years from now??? LOL
