Hit the lake Friday and Saturday and well needless to say the lake trout fishing was tough ...I only got 6 laker's the biggest being 9 pound's... By mid Saturday I was Miffed to say the least so I changed my Approach and went after the kokanee...and I am glad I did We landed 21 Kokes and 1 big Bow in 3 hour's of outstanding action that ended up making the trip worth while after all I promise some good picture's to follow the biggest Kokanee if anybody care's was 4.01 pound's!!!! I was excited to see them of that size so early

Thanks for the report sockeyeslayer. I'm headed up to the lake this coming week-end. Sure is good to hear the report about the kokes. Can I ask what area you were fishing for the macks? I was going to try swim and antelope. Thanks again hope toe see ya up there.

I'll be back up there as well this coming weekend so look for my boat (Grady White) We were fishing for the mack's in the Linwood bay /Antelope flat's area and we even ventured to Big Bend Up on the Buckboard end. The kokanee fishing was most productive in the lower Anvil area.

I guess with the open water I need to start begging for the kitchen pass to get up to the gorge more this year than last year. Sound like a fun time. Who did you go with?
In answer to Uintaice's question I'd bet he was trolling. If anyone ever has questions on downriggers or needs to pick up some good kokanee equipment sockeyeslayer is the person to know.
Waiting for pictures of the koke's Jared.

Let me start off by answering UintaIce is was trolling in the 16-30 foot range and I was keeping my speed from 1.5-1.8 mph The kokanee were just getting active and the weather was beautiful. Fishluvr has benn out with me in the past and has been a good fishing partner. As for you needing a kitchen pass you better get on it because I am going back alot. The kokanee look healthy and let's hope there Number's continue to rise.

No but with the fishing report you just read ...when would I have had time to watch a D.v.D??? However if you seem to find one for me alot of free lure's would be thrown your way not to mention a seat in the boat for a future trip!!! Let me know what you find out I would appreciate it

I'll see what I can find. Remind me if I happen to forget. Sounds like way too much fun. I am going nuts from fishing withdrawl. I haven't been fishing in a month and with all the homework and getting ready for the baby it looks like it could be a couple of weeks more, before I get to. We'll see.
