So how soon after ice off is the best time to hit Strawberry? I have heard that just at ice off is good but others say that after the water temps turn is the best. So which is it?

The experts say its best just as the ice pulls back,and you have some open water,but my experiance has been that the fishing is better when all the ice is off.Still nice to fish it early,drop your lure on the ice,reel it off and let it sink.

I used to take my boat out after all the ice was off and always had good luck.My frreind has been deperate to go after those cutts after ice ice off but its still a wayas off from being open.
