Big Colorado Cat Pic...

We went down to a nice little spot I know down south on Sat. to fish for some Kittys and catch some rays. Talk about beginners luck ! My girlfriend caught this fatty that beat my best there by about 5 lbs.

BUSTED...[pirate] A good fishing buddy down in California got me with this pic and a similar email. I stared at it for about 5 minutes before I actually looked at the FISH ! I'm glad to see you BFT'rs cant be fooled by a beautiful face and a great body. (I think...)

I know I'm the big clown of the BFT Utah message board. I hope everyone knows that its all in good fun. The truth is that this site, and ESPICALLY the Utah home page and all of you is one of the best fishing resources I have ever found. I read and enjoy the new posts every day and have picked up (and hopefully shared) alot of great info.
I hope it all culminates in my first walleye this year, And I hope I've never offended anyone, it certainly has never been my intent.

I have stood at the spanish fork inlet for at least 30 hours (at all hours of the night I might ad) over the last 3 years, fishing with the same thing as everyone else (lemon meringue curly tair- sometimes w/ a floating jig trailer) and caught nada. Everyone around me nails hogs... Me nothing.
Heres the thing though. I have a good friend who lives in Pierre, South Dakota and guides Lake Oahe. He sends me 10lb bags of walleye fillets a couple of times a year and their best fish ive eaten besides Gorge Kokes.
So... I want to eat the little buggers.
And no matter how many posts come in after this telling me I'm nuts...
I aint eatin NOTHIN that swims in Utah Lake !!! That water is sick !

I am dying to catch and eat some out of Deer Creek or Starvation though.

Any thoughts ?

While fishing for catfish in Utah Lake last week and I caught a Walleye, it was good. I used to be apprehensive about eating from Utah Lake but not anymore.

I also was a little skeptical of your picture but I didn't want to offend if it happend to be real. []

It cetainly looks like the mouth of a carp, but the telltale scales don't apper to be there. That thing must be full of eggs. I thought the girl in the pic had an awful nice 'er tan for this time of the year!! We need to be humbled and humored from time to time, so keep up the laughs.

I'll bet you and a lot of other Utah Lake fishers eat Bologna and hot dogs too. Like Utah lake, if you knew what was in them you wouldn't touch it with a 10 ft pole.
