It had been 2 months since I had checked the air pressure in the boat trailer tires and sure enough one tire was 3 to 4 pounds low.
With all the temperature changes and the warmth of summer approaching I would recommend at least a quick air pressure check on tow vehicle and boat trailer - the worst it will do is reassure you that all is well. And at best increase your gas mileage and tire wear.
Another tip - make sure your have the tools along to change a flat on your boat trailer. Lug wretch, Cresent wretch to remove spare from holder, blocks, jack, etc. - I thought I had mine along till I checked and sure enough my tool bag had gotten legs.....
I was also doing some poking around and noticed a couple of screws in the bottom back transom under my inbroad. I found where they went and put them back - the boat gets bounced around more on the trailer than in the water - vibration is your enemy.
Take care and throw in the extras - they might seem like overhead but they sure can help out in a pinch...
