end of the tube at the bubble up
#1
i seem to keep seeing boats out at the bubble up, specificly targeting the end of the tube. is there something about the end of the tube that is any better than the rest of the tube? i keep seeing em anchored about 10 to 20 ft straigh out off the end of the tube. this seems to be the most targeted area of the pipe. i saw a couple of guys out there a little bit ago pull in 4 nice ones just vertical jigging a minnow! what's down there? is it deeper, rockier, warmer,?

Hey fencekid, it is definitely deeper right where the tube ends. When they placed it there, they dug it out a ways. Also, there is still water that comes out of the tube, just not as much as used to come out, so it still attracts fish. Also, since it is the farthest point on the tube out into the lake, the surrounding area is deeper at the end as well. near the beginning of the tube it's only like 1 foot deep, and it is so gradual that it takes a hundred yards or more to get much deeper. Out at the end of the tube it is 4 to 5 feet deep, and right where the tube comes out it is deeper than that. The temperature is not any different than anywhere else in the lake.

It is deeper, but I noticed a majority of the time they are there to tie up to the marker booeys. You can also cast along the tube long ways and let your jig drop to the bottom and pretty much drag that jig on the bottom without worrying about snagging. Great position to be to cast paralell with the pipe.

Last year I fished from the tube way out there only about 60-70 feet short of the bubbles at the end, because the water is so low. I just walked out there with my tackle box and pole. There's nowhere to sit, but I didn't mind that. Sometimes you'd share the pipe with seagulls and pelicans too. ha ha.

This year, I know the water has come up a lot, so I'm not sure just how much of the pipe is underwater now. It might be completely covered. I haven't been down there so I'm not sure.

The bubble up is about 1/4 to 1/2 mile south of the Lindon Boat Harbor.

Here are some directions that were posted before on here, I think by Tomegun:

Take the 800 north exit off I-15 in Orem. Turn right at the bottom of the ramp on the 800 north(heading west). Genvea rd is at the bottom, turn right on Genvea rd(heading north). Look to your left for 200 south in Lindon(there will be a light), turn left on 2nd South. Head all the way down to to the end, turn left. This road will run you into Lindon Boat Harbor.
