How To Bass Fish Seminar ... On Site!?
#1
Hey what do you guys think about getting together this spring / summer and putting on a seminar / meet & greet for bass fishing?

We could all meet on Deer Creek, have a big family thing, BBQ, Kids derby and BFT instructors on:

Bass Fishing Basics
Boating Safety
Trolling Motor Usage
Tackle Specifics
Maniac & Moose Lures on display and for sale
BFT Stuff!

I would be willing to donate my time and knowledge!
My family would come out and enjoy this!
I could organize the Derby for the kids. Maybe even get some prizes going ... What do you think?

Well, this old hound dog would be tickled pink to hook up with y'all and learn myself some new tricks. I might be able to add my own "half'o'scent" to those folks new to bassin - if'n they don't mind my "down south approach" to fishin bass - that is. Let's do it !

That would be a lot of fun. I'd go if it fit in with my schedule and kitchen pass was issued.

Float Tubers Welcome!

I guess we need to come up with a date ... Any suggestions?

We will also need Boats and Folks! Tubes and Dudes! And of course ... KIDS! As soon as we set up a date, I will reserve the site on Deer Creek. I think that this would be a fun thing if we can pull it off!

I am thinking that the food thing should be like a pot luck. We all bring something to share on the water so why not on the table? There are plenty of 11" bass to eat as well.

PM me if your in! I will compile a list and post it here. We need a few fishing Boats ... so please help the new guys out!

I am thinking like June 10th & 11th would be good dates for this. The Bass will move up shallow in the morning and evening. During the day we can have instruction and your casts from the shore should produce some fishies!

Rainbow Bay where the slope to the water is gradual. There is plenty of room there for all!

Lets Do This!

I will donate the use of my boat, tube, or toon or any tackle or gear(I think I have at least about 2 of everything) needed. But, unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to bring the hounds - they don't bass fish - just trout.

I would love to go on the 11th. I have all the gear (float tube etc.), I just have no idea what I'm doing. I would be the one the would need the seminar. I fished at Utah Lake Friday and Sunday and did not catch a single bass. Please help!

Great guys! Let's plan on being up to Deer Creek on Saturday morning the 11th of June. We can meet at the Marina (w/store)so the boats can launch and tie off. I am thinking around 6:00am we can give an 1/2 hour of instruction and hit the lake for some topwater action. I am compiling a list of folks right now and will put together a request for food from each. For lunch, we can all pitch in and have a great time! We will have our plan all ready for that morning and don't forget to bring your kids! If you don't have a kid, find one ... He he he.

Count me in! The only thing I have to add is that June 11th is free fishing day so we will wan't to get there and secure the picnic area fast. I would assume that it will be pretty busy. Let me know what I need to bring for the seminar, ie tackle, gear and food.

You could let the DWR an the parks know that we are going to be showing deferent ways to fish, and see if they have a place to do this at (without charge) and some of us could do this buy the water, just some ideas.
