Will be going to the Berry tomarrow just want to know if anyone has been out this week? I am taking a first timer out and would like to atleast get a few hook ups. So just kinda wondering where on the lake will i find the most action? should I jig and drift fish? what color and size of jig would be best. Thanks for your help

There has never been a trip to the Berry that I didn't at least pick up a few rainbows from drifting a worm. I usually fish the narrows. Just a couple split shot 16" above the worm, and drift your way along. There is usually a slight wind in the narrows to keep you moving at the perfect speed.

what i usually do is get a split swival tie on power bait n worm to drift with no weight usually do pretty good, I was told the way to catch them this time of year is to jig. Is a 3" jig to big? what size of jig do i want to use? do I want to tip the jig with worm or anything? What color of jig works best

3" is a good size. White or Glow Tubes work good. You can tip with worm, or a piece of minnow works good too. I fill the whole tube with Smelly Jelly and let it down slowly. Alot of time it will get hit on the way down. I pick up alot of big cutts jigging large tube jigs.
