Hello everyone-
Finally got a break in my schedule, and hit Lindon harbor for a few hours yesterday evening, from about 6-8pm.
I wished I would've brought my tube since the water has raised enough to let the weeds around the edge go crazy. Shorefishing was tough! You could see great spots, but the weeds and BUGS wouldn't let you in.
I fished the two docks, and started with a black and blue jig n pig. no luck. Switched to a 5" black w/ sparkles Senko. From the dock, I fished it really slow, and finally got an 18" LMB to take it about 2 feet from shore in a file of reeds and weeds. About a half hour later, the same Senko caught a 16" bass directlly under the part of the dock closest to shore.
A couple on the dock was pulling in the mud cats on a silver spinner about 8 feet behind a bobber.
Those with tubes should hit the harbor, there are some prime areas that shore fisherman can no longer reach.
It was my first time out this year, and a beautiful night.
