Need Advise on Fish Lake
#1
Hello All, I need advise on Fish Lake for this weekend. I have never been there before and was wondering on how to fish it. Per the advise from a previous thread I will be taking some rainbow and perch patterned Rapalas. I will be also be working with a Blue Fox spinner, a green patterned Rooster Tail, white plastic tube jigs and white plastic grubs, plus bait. Is there any other tackle someone would like to suggest? I would also like to know on how to work the lake this time of year. I will be fishing from the shore or in my float tube. Is the shallows the place to be working the weed lines/moss lines for splake and raindows. Or should I be trolling deeper in 20-30ft of water. I also plan on working the other lakes up there as well. I know this is a loaded question, but any help would be appreciated.

I have always done good in my tube with a gold kasmaster tipped with perch meat just out past the cheesehole (weed bed)

Excellent! I will give it a try. I guess I'll need to catch some perch then. Anyone else have advise?

Thanks,

Just have plenty of colors with you. I've found that the Rainbows and sometimes the Splake, get a little finicky after an hour of the same color floating past their face. Rainbow, White, Chrome, Brass,... They all have their moment in the sun.

If you have a finder on your tube, keep watching, you never know when a 8-10lb. Splake or Laker will decide to come up for a snack.

I have watched a 7lb. Rainbow come off of the Cheese Hole too, so be prepared for just about anything.
