Fish Lake REEEEEEEEE-Port

Just got home from one hour photo. Thank God for Wal-mart. I don't own a digital or I'd post a picture so you'll just have to take my word for it. Da bomb lived up to his name again. At 5:30 a.m. this morning he caught an 18 pound 6 ounce MACKINAW!!! He got real weak in the knees when he saw the size of the fish. A fast weigh on the scales with the fish in the net, a couple of quick snap shots for memories, and a whole lot of talking to teach good fishermen ettiquette, a few minutes of pumping and back to the bottom he went. Now when they ask him how come he turned it loose he says he wants his nephews to have a chance to catch him too. Went to the north end to jig the moss line. We could have had another big one but Da bomb got over excited and felt that his new whoopin stick rod shouldn't be bending and taking line out that fast. So his natural instinct was to stop the real from screaming. SNAP went the six pound test. The rest was history. If you could have only seen his face when the pole bent clear to the water. We've learned to live life and laugh always. Oh yeah a couple of 22 pounders were caught one last saturday and one Friday. 11 pound splake came in today also. We went jigging friday and caught about 30- 40 a piece. Excellant day of fishing. Lot's of fish in Fish Lake. But nothing big, 16 inches is a big fish. Thanks for the report. My family & I are heading there next month. I've never fished it in the summer. Sure would like to see some pictures. Wal Mart or any place that processes film will put your pictures on a photo cd for alittle more.

The problem with pictures is I'm still learning the computer. Even if I had a cd to show I wouldn't know how to get it on here and to you to see. It has taken me three years to get to this point. We've only had a home computer for 2 months and Fish for Fish has become my personal computer man. Where would I be without him. The picture is now an 8X10 and hanging on my frontroom wall along with several other fishing memorabilia. Congrats on the 18 pound Mackinaw, I was at Fish Lake Memorial weekend also for our annual family trip, infact my wife was the one who caught the 11 pound splake that you mentioned in your post. We were jigging just of the weed line near Lake Side Marina early Saturday morning. The splake was 11 plus pounds, 28" long and 18" girth. I have attached a picture of the fish.
