Three of us fished from 6:30am to 7:00pm. We fished mainly around the island and managed to boat some small channels(nothing over five pounds), mud cats, white bass and a pretty nice Walleye. It was a great day on the water. I have to admit that I was targeting white bass. We caught about 10 and all were still ripe both male and female so I am going to assume that they have not spawned yet. Last year we had a window of about three weeks where we caught all the white bass we wanted until our arms felt like they would fall off. It's fast and a lot of fun. When they start to school on Lincoln Beach I hope someone lets the word out.

What was the depth around the island? What was the temp?

The depth around the island was 7-3 feet deep. The water temp was 65 and went as high as 72 by the time we left. It only gets better from here. The problemn is going to be whether to fish at Utah Lake, Strawberry or Willard?????? So many fish so little time.

[cool]Nice report, and nice fish. When you say "island" are you referring to Bird Island?

Thanks for the report and way to go on a nice haul of fish. I saw your picture Saturday on the Doug Miller show, how long ago did you send it to them? WH2

I sent that picture in to Doug Miller last fall and that is when I won the volcano cooker. I did not see the program last weekend but I assume it was a re-run.
