The wife & I were just talking about tourneys and why we do them. I said to her ...
You See Honey, It's skill level. It's 80% skill level and the rest concentration. Time on the water is key as well. Being able to catch a fish in any body of water takes skill. Competition Fishing is the absolute coolest thing because of the thrill of comparing your skill when the stakes are high.
She said "I don't see the big deal" I said ... Take scrapbooking for example ... You must have a gazillion supplies but it's never enough why? She said theres always improvement in my technique. My response was ...
EXACTLY!
I might have a gazillion baits and rods but my skill is always improving & or sharpening ... hence more time on the water and more concentration on my task of kicking my competitors butt.
When I got done explaining to her the importance of tournament fishing ... We came to an understanding.
She's a keeper guys ...
