I'd like to go fishing this weekend and would like to catch fish and crawdads.
Does Jordanelle have a big enough population or crawdads to harvest a few?
Are the crawdads in Starwberry active and ready to catch.
I think the fishing will be a little better at Jordanelle.
What do you think would be the best option for the weekend. I am going to be out in the evening.

I can't see the body of your text, but I know the recent gill net survey showed no dads in fishes belly's. That doesn't mean they are not in there, but it is likely that there aren't very many as of yet.

NO Jordanelle dose not have crawdads, The DWR has looked in the past years and I have set out crawdad traps in the past 4 times and have never found One crawdad yet.

[cool]Yes, the crawdads in the berry are starting to get active. I was there a week ago Saturday in a rainstorm for 3-4 hours with used fried chicken bones in two tiny traps and still caught about 40. I think if I had had raw chicken and been in a better spot, I could have slayed them. They were pretty good sized ones too. Good luck!

Of course there are crawdads in the nelle. I have seen and caught them. I have been on boats with fish under 12" in the livewell spitting out claws. Deer Creek is full of craws and the Provo river was chuck full of them before the Jordanelle dam was put in. They are harder to catch because of all the structure in the water ... If you want good numbers .. go to the berry. They are everywhere!
