I am heading to Jordanelle this week for the first time on my pontoon. I am way excited. Anyway, I am going to be fishing mainly for bow's, but want to try for some bass also. I know what to use for trout, but what is a good way to fish for bass while floating, either trolling or sitting still? Any help would be much appreciated.

I've had good success working the shoreline using jigs and spinnerbaits. Cast all the way to shore, caught bass in a few inches of water, and work the lure all the way back to your tube. Just keep moving down the shoreline. I think you should be able to catch a few this way.

I don't know if you are flyfishing or not but I know that if you drags a wollybuger around on the bottom that will get both trout and bass.

Anyone know if the SMB are still hitting the watermelon senkos like last year. I had a blast fishing with those. No weight just a senko and a hook. I'm heading either to Jordanelle or to Huntington Lake this weekend with my 'toon. (the Huntington Lake just barely north of the town of Huntington) There is a really nice state park there. There are also MONSTER 'dads in Huntington. I'll know later today which.

I was tossing a cream senko and they hit it just fine last week. Look shallow, they are in 2 - 5 feet right now.
