I always hesitate starting something like this because I'm not a moderator, and I don't want to seem presumptuous, but I thought this might be enjoyable and somewhat interesting for many of us BFTers.
I've read over the years that it's good to keep a journal of fishing experiences--things like where we've fished, what fish we've caught, what bait and lures we've used, etc. With that in mind, what do you think about keeping a running journal of fish that we each catch this summer--a "Summer Fishing Journal" if you will?
If we kept our entries extremely simple, such as simply noting the location and what types of fish we caught, it might be interesting to look back after the summer's over to see where we've traveled and what we've caught.
I'm thinking that each time we return from a fishing outing, we could come back to this thread, click "Edit" on our original journal entry, and add our tallies to our list. That way, we'd have only one journal per BFTer, and each person's journal would be tied to the same thread. Get it? Hope so.
I'm not asking for anything that would replace detailed fishing reports, because they are part of what makes BFT the incredible Web site it is, just simple notes and tallies please. (Mods, if I'm breaking some kind of code of ethics here by creating this thread, please delete it with my apologies.)
I'll start the list of journals with the following post.
