When I lived in Vernal (a few years ago) I liked to fish Dutch John Draw for smallies. I had a boat but I think it would not be to bad a kick from the Mustang Ridge swim area. But, you might want to look at a map before you try it.

I haven't heard anything recently, but the fish down towards the Dam are generally smaller than the fish up the lake. Tons of small ones. I will be going up there next week, and would like a report as well!

nkunz,
Yea, one of my favorite areas is Spring Creek and the Nr. W. side of Ant Flats, but my buddy likes the Confluence. Oh well. Maniac, Take a look at my last weeks report at the Concfluence. Does that help? The Confluence and Spring Creek have held larger fish for me. I'll report. Good luck. Leaky

I was there last week. Consistent SMB fishing was hard to find. Lots of dinks on broken rock, but the bigger fish were hard to pattern. I had some friends fishing mostly for the bass but I was mostly mack fishing. Surface temps ranged from 61-66 depending on location and time of day. LOTS and LOTS of wind the last 3 weeks up there.
