I was able to fish Currant Creek this past weekend twice. Once on Friday and again on Saturday. Friday was by far the better day. I got on the water at about 11:15 - 11:30 (a.m.) right in the middle of a killer mayfly and caddis hatch. Wonderful day on small dry's. Landed about 13 nice size browns ( 12 -18 inches) and hooked but did not land a few more.
With the great day I had on Friday I was excited to get back on the water on Saturday. However, I did not fare as well. It started off promising with some consistent action on small dry's again. By 9:45 the wind had kicked up enough to blow all hatching bugs off the water. After that it was pretty slow.
Anyway it was a fun weekend all in all. Sorry no photos this time.

I have fished current creek all winter (ice fishing) and spring their are alot of fish in the lake but, they are usually small like 10- 14 inchers but, current creek is a good place to go if you want to catch a fish. The Berry is were you would go to catch a big fish.

Thanks for posting and welcome aboard! It seems as though all of the cutts have disappeared from Current Creek. It used to be loaded with them. But now they are few and far between.

True on the cutt's. My father, who fished with me on Saturday caught 1 13" cutt and that was it. I don't mind the Brown's though, they put up a worth fight.
