can anyone please give me directions to holmes creek reservoir ( company pond ) from SLC will be up that way friday on business might as well get in a little fishing THANX

Its just below Hwy 89 in Layton, across from the Valley View golf course.

Get off of I15 right by lagoon, onto 89. Take 89 north to oakhills drive where the big water tank is. Go down oakhills drive and turn right at the church, and follow that up to the lake, which is right above the golf course.
You could also take the road north of oakhills drive, but I don't remember the name of it.
Hopefully that's clear as mud[blush].

The road just north of Oakhills is called Gentile. Its just about a half mile west of 89 on thesouth side of Gentile.

I was told that if you park at the north end of the pond you can walk right down to prime fishing. Otherwise, you have to hike around the lake.

Any idea how big it is or what(as far as fish) might be in there ?

Bass, crappie, walleye, etc.
Here's one of the nicer bass I've caught there.

There are some nice fish in there, I caught my biggest walleye (26 inches) out of there, and lots of nice bass. Word of caution, if you decide to fish all the way around the pond, be careful there is a lot of poison ivy!
