Fished on the north dike didnt catch a thing saw someone catch a crappie and a couple small channels.I was trying for the wipers with the carp gut trick that was succesfull for me on sunday night

I hit the Bay also last night, didn't see a single boil. Started at the island then over to the feedlot and back to the island. I saw several boats do the same thing and then they dispersed all over. Lots of boil hunters out there. I managed to catch 4 wipers before the bugs ran me off the lake. I tried several colors and sizes of shad raps, then used the old standby trick from my Nebraska days and caught them on a green rattlin Thin Fin, trolling about 1.5 mph near the island.

Not much of a trick just fishing wit a treble hook and carp gut for catfish and was catching the wipers instead I was kind of amazed. Cant give specifics on locale though not my spot.

carp guts doesn't surprize me i have talked to more then one person who was fishing chicken livers on bottom for cats and caught wipers
