Big Brown taken at Hyrum
#1
[black]Just thought I'd share these photos of a very nice brown taken from Hyrum last week. The fish was 27" and 8 lbs 8 ozs. The family was out for an evening of shore fishing at Hyrum and were catching the standard planter rainbows when this thug decided to bite. The pretty little gal in the pic hooked him up and the battle was on. Obviously, she won. The proud pappy showed me these pics so I begged him to allow me to post them here for your viewing pleasure. Check out that big Smile on that little gal's face![/black]

[black]This is not the first time large browns have come out of Hyrum. Though they are few and far between, 3-4 years ago, one close to 13 lbs was caught near the spillway by shore fishermen. With the Little Bear dumping it's contents from Porcupine, which has some very fine browns in it, Hyrum, which has never been thought of as a Brown fishery, is a sure bet to have more fine fish like this one pictured.[/black]

Thanks for sharing the pics. Nothing like a Big Grin on a kid's face (and also the dad's) after a good day of fishin'.

Hey Rich thanks for sharing the pics. Its nice and all when one of us older buggers tap a good one but it always does my old heart alot more good to see that a youngster has opened a can of whoop-A on a biggin. I look forward to the day one of my young grands tap into a true goodin. That should bring lots of photo opps to relive as long as I dont have the camera in my hands!

Thanks for sharing the picture and the story Rich. One thing for sure, that little girl is hooked for life, maybe even a future BFT member.
