A freind of mine wants to know how the fishing at silver lake is?And what kind of baits to use.Any info would be appreciated.

It's hot but don't expect anything over 12 inches. Majority on the small side.

Bait use chartreuse power eggs on a 8 hook.

Lures use various spinners or small spoons. Just about everything is working.

I was up there tonight. I only caught one little brookie. I only fished flies but that has been working. There were a lot of small fish (brookies) jumping around the edges. But, I didn't see any larger fish (planter rainbows) jumping like there has been. It may be getting fished out and needs an other load from the hatchery. Or maybe the 7 canoes full of kids put them down?
