Tooele res?
#1
I went out to Tooele yesterday with my two kids and elbowed my way in (sheeze I almost thought it was free fishing day) to find a spot to cast a few lines out, my daughter caught one rainbow about 13" on a worm on the bottom. We kept getting nibbles but no fish until I realized it was probably just crawdads.
I have a question about those crawdads. Is it legal to take crawdads from Tooele? I have a friend that told me he saw some signs up there saying that you cant harvest crawdads from there. It is one of the closest lake to me and I want to go get a bucket full and have a crawdad boil. Can I take them from there or should I go get some from Grantsville?

[cool]I don't know for sure about that particular lake, but I have been told that Settlement Res. (isn't that the other lake in the Tooele area besides Grantsville?) Anyway, I think that's what it's called. I've heard that that little lake is LOADED with crawdads (and I know it's legal to harvest them there). I'm going to head out there one of these days and test it out. Heard it gets fishing pressure, but hardly any crawdad pressure.

Settlement is loaded with crawdads and I don't remember seeing any regulations in the Proc prohibiting you from taking crawdads from here. When I was kid we used to catch them with our hands from the dam.
