Hi Guys/Ladies:
I'm new to the board - Hi to everyone! I haven't had time to set things up yet, but I thought I'd shoot out a quickie before going to work.
The wife wants to head to Cuba for a couple of weeks this January. I know very little about deep sea fishing, and the same can be said about Cuba. What I do know is to look for colliding currents - preferrably warm and cool ones, and look for shelves or other structure. Where is a good area to go for deep-sea fishing? I'd love to hook into a nice sized marlin or tuna. Groundfishing for grouper, amberjack, or yellowtail sounds like a blast also.
Anyone have any advice? Location, boats, timing in January, cost? Bring my own light tackle?
