Well we got up there Saturday and much to our surprise we found it to be raining and pretty windy...but I put my boat on the water any way and we headed to some protective water between haws and the mouth of renegade bay. We picked up a dozen cut's from the surface down to about 15 feet one nice one 4.8 pound's and 23 3/4 inches long but we did return him to the water unharmed after a quick weigh and measure. The day turned around and the sun came out but we couldn't seem to find the kokes until we stopped on the channel in front of jake's bay and started trolling pink squid's with double sling blades @ 39 -45 feet back towards the marina criss crossing the channel and we picked up 3 nice 2.5-3.0 pound kokes and as fast as it turned on it turned off and after that we couldn't buy a fish for anything ...not even a CUT now that's Disgraceful, I have never seen fish turn on that fast and then just vanish into thin air...they were all over the screen and then they were gone as I spent much of the next 45 minutes trying to locate them again but to my dismay they one the battle and left me standing there speechless. I guess it was a decent day but I still am at a loss for where they went to. I talked to a few people on the radio including guide Bill Partridge who was trying to find them and nobody seemed to be having much success, so I think I am going to quit while I am a head and return to what I know best (Flaming Gorge)!!
