I’m finally getting my photos from my trip to Nephi. I had a great time fishing the stream up nephi canyon. That was some of the toughest “guerilla” fishing I have done in a long time. I waded the stream, thinking I could just walk up the center of it, but it kept closing up and clogged with brush. Lots of spider and mosquitos. Some spots were so tight I had to crawl on my hands and knees in the water. I worked hard for those fish. There were lots of browns in the 6-10” range, just begging to get caught. All in all It was a great fishing trip with lots of catching. Chicken.

Those are some nice looking browns. I love that little river. Did you fish the stream on the main road or up the canyon towards the nebo loop road?

[#505000]With those red spots they look a wee bit more like brookies than browns.[/#505000]

Brookies have a dark background with the lighter colored spots and also they have the worming pattern on the backs. Those fishies are brownyies for sure.......

I fished the section above the small "dam" in the main canyon until I ran out of time and energy( about 3/4 of a mile. It took me 3 hours to get that far. Next time I need to take a machete or something. Carp punisher...they are definately browns. I think that water would be too warm for brookies. Chicken.

Nice looking little Brownskies, they have good color. I havent fished that creek since I was a kid (more years than I'd care to admit). Great to see there is still a reason to wander up that creek without a paddle!
