Canyon Lake: Water gin clear; 79-83 degrees; 908.55':

Largemouth are good in numbers at first light in 3'-8' of water tight to rock and stumps along breaklines using white 3/8 oz. "Red Series" Terminator (www.terminatorlures.com) spinnerbait, 4" Whacky Sticks (www.cremelure.com) rigged on a 3/0 "K" Wacky Hook (www.falconlures.com) and pumpkin Skip-N-Pops (www.jdcbaits.com) under cloud cover. Upriver, bass continue to hold along the primary breakline of the channel, positioning along laydowns and undercut bank- lines where medium running shad crankbaits, 3/16 oz. white-char. Terminator tungsten spinnerbait and pitching Brush Hogs work well.

Smallmouth are slow in 15'-25' of water on chameleon Scoundrel worms on jigheads, watermelon 3" JR. Craw and 4" natural Whacky Sticks on Texas rigs.

White Bass are fair at night under lights in 20'-30' vertically jigging.

Crappie are fair upriver over brushpiles in 8'-14' on minnows and crappie jigs.

Lake Buchanan: Water clear; 80 degrees; 1015.68':

Largemouth are good to 4 lbs early in 4'-10' along laydowns
and breaklines of creek channel ledges using a rootbeer 4" Strike Grub (www.jdcbaits.com) on 1/8th oz. jigheads, 5" green-pumpkin Whacky Sticks (www.cremelure.com), white-chartreuse 7/16 oz. tungsten Termiantor spinnerbaits (www.terminatorlures.com) and a 1/4 oz. Bleeding Shad Rat-L-Trap (www.rat-l-trap.com). If the "shallow" bite slows of shuts down try working deeper humps or brushpiles w/a Carolina rigged Snap Back creature bait or JDC Drop Shot Worm and fish both very slow.

Stripers are fair on mainlake points and humps from Flag Island to Crystal Cove trolling white-gray striper jigs and drifting live bait.

White Bass are slow over 20'-30' of water on main creek points jigging 2" Spoiler Shads, Tiny Trap (www.rat-l-trap.com) & Pirk Minnows.

We hear that the Crappie bite is fair to good over brush-piles in 10'-15' on minnows.

Lake LBJ: Water lightly stained; 79-82 degrees; 824.81':

Largemouth are good in early AM along seawall rip rap in 3'-8' using a blue-white-chartreuse 1/4 oz. Terminator spinnerbait, 3" watermelon Skip-N-Pop (www.jdcbaits.com) topwaters, Bleeding Shad Rat-L-Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com). Sometime after midmorning, fish reposition along channel breaklines, especially on points and tight to wooden pilings of docks where pitching a 3/16 oz. watermelon Terminator jig (www.terminatorlures.com)or black-red Craw Tube(www.cremelure.com) or skipping a wacky rigged watermelon-red Whacky Stick on a 3/0 weedless 3/0 "K"
Wacky Hook (www.falconlures.com) under the dock will produce.

Stripers are fair to good at night around lights Spoiler Shads and free-lining live bait.

White Bass are very good at night on 1-1/2" Lit'l Fishies.

Crappie are good over brushpiles along docks and breaklines on live minnows.
