[size 2]Get ready for the tournament! The Division of Fish & Wildlife will host a clinic for newcomers to surf fishing (men and women over 18 years old only). Instructors from the division, Island Beach State Park, Jersey Coast Anglers Association, Friends of Island Beach State Park, and local sporting goods stores will help you understand fish anatomy, biology, ecology, baits, fishing techniques and tackle, knots, regulations and how to read the surf. The workshop includes an indoor morning session, and an afternoon on the surf. All equipment is provided. The workshop will run rain or shine, so please dress accordingly. Participation in the tournament on Sunday is optional.[/size]
