Best day EVER !!
#1
Had the greatest two days of fishing here in Nevada ever!

On Wednesday, I headed up to 8 Mile Road , this time armed with some Molasses pellets to add into my corn chum. Worked pretty well.

I landed over a dozen or so fish, missed 4 more and had to go into the lake to un-stuck one sneaky fish that ran me into the weeds. Water was pretty chilly actually, and awefully deep too! I got no more than 5 feet of shore and was in 10- ft of water. I also caught my heaviest fish of the weekend then as well, a 9,5 lbr. Thats Pic # 1

I then forced myself to go again Thursday. I was beat after a 6 day workweek, so, I lost the argument with myself, and had to go fishing again!! [angelic][angelic]

This time, I soaked the corn in the Molasses pellets when i got boiling it, so it was marinated fairly well by fishing time. I threw out a few gallon, plus some pellets and waited. Missed my first run, but landed the second one, an 8,5 lbr . This is pic # 2. Was larger than my 9,5 lb fish, but scales don't lie. I was pretty happy after this one came ashore. I had a 30 minute drought after this, then around 330pm, all hell broke loose. 3 fish in 15 minutes, two runs at the same time, fish taking my bait 2 seconds after the sinker hits the bottom.. it was like I died and went to bank fisherman's heaven!!

By the time I left, 7pm, I managed to land over 20 Carp averaging about 4 lbs a piece! So, for a 2 day total, I landed around 35 Carp, missed 10 runs and lost 2 midfight. Cleared just a hair over 100lbs of fish for 12 hours of work.

Now, why couldn't I have landed 5 20lb'rs instead [Tongue]

Fortunately, these 5 lb Nevada carp fight like the dickins, so it was all good.

* Disclaimer * the second fish didn't want to cooperate, and I had him out of water for about 35 seconds or so, wanted to get em' back in, so I just took a shot and released ..
