Lake Buchanan Guide Report
#1
Water murky to clear; 77 degrees; 1014' (6' below pool)

Largemouth are good as 'power fishing' has picked up along points, boat docks and channel breaklines in 3' - 12' of water using white Terminator buzzbaits, Bleeding Shad Rat-L-Traps, topwaters like a JDC Skip-N-Pop, and Texas rigged green-pumpkin Whacky Sticks. Bass are just beginning the transition into the larger creeks. The major fall migration of shad may still be a few weeks away but the fish are there waiting.

Stripers are fair to good in 25'-30' drifting live bait or casting 3" Spoiler Shads and vertically jigging silver or blue Pirk Minnows through surfacing schools.

Crappie are fair over brushpiles under docks and along bluffs in 8'-15' on minnows.
