#1
I never use Fishfinder for ice fishing.
I'd like to buy Eagle, if somebody can tell me
how it work outside a hut at 14-15F (-10 C)?
Thanks for a help.

I havent used an eagle but what I have is quite a bit older modle of bottom line for boat and icefishing by about at least 15 years. I know the "tec" used today is far superior to what I have.

I have yet to use it below -5* but have had no problems. at least with the unit, more so keeping the hole open[Tongue]

all you have to do is drop the transducer in to the water and it starts wroking. I can make a divit cut in the ice and pour water in the hole and get depth readings and some times even fish readings depending on the quality of the ice.

as far as I know it uses so little energy that the two 6 volt batteries work in my unit for years on end and the cold has no effect other freezing the hole...

a lot of anglers like vexlars and still others like the submercable cameras....

Lots of different finders will work for both summer and ice. When it gets really cold just keep your backlighting on the screen on high to keep it from freezing. It uses more battery but you don't want your LED screen to freeze. For help in setting up your ice finder rig check out this thread.
