Ririe Reservoir
#1
My son-in-law and I fished Ririe Res from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. The fish were holding at about 23 to 25 feet down so we trolled flies with four colors of 18# leadcore line. We caught 12 and lost another dozen that hit. All that we caught were trout, but the kokanee seemed to be a lot deeper. A black crystal bugger or a needle fish was the key.

As always, thanks for the report.
Were all the trout cutthroats? Where any larger than 16"?

Hey Guys,

I know its not November, but, I did get into some fun fish at Ririe in Late October. Beautiful weather day! Fish were in about 6-7 Ft. of water out from Blacktail Ramp. Some nice looking fish. Biggest around 14" or so. Brown Buggers were the ticket. Will continue to put Ririe on my fishing map. Ice fishing season is going to be fun!

We got one over 17 inches and one over 16. All were the fine-spotted cutts. Most were taken close to the shoreline near a rock pile. We will probably fish it over Thanksgiving.
