I don't know about the rest, but I setup my schedule around fishing during the fall. Fortunately, the great gal I married is accommodating - she gets her shopping weekends during the hard winter. It also helps to run your own business, instead of letting your business run you (like I see so often).

The phone has quit ringing with opportunities to work unlike the spring when I don’t have any time to think about fishing. All I think about in the spring is work 24-7 for about 10 weeks.

That is so unfair . 7 weeks of PTO . I work 12 to 14 hours a day , 5 days a week and It looks like I get laid off before christmas for my "PTO" .

the secret is to have a job you control.. not one that controls you..
and making a lot of money at it dont hurt ether.. lol my next planded job is not tell some time in jan 06.. so bring on the ice fishing..
